All registrants must be current members of SSNL.

NOTE: All conference participants must be members of the Society for the Study of Narrative Literature; dues are per year $25.00 for faculty and $15 for students (with a note from an advisor attesting to student status); foreign memberships cost $30.00 and $20.00. All SSNL members receive a subscription to Narrative, the official journal of the society. Please include separate checks for conference registration (make out check to Narrative 2000-Emory University) and for initiating/renewing society membership (make out check to Ohio State University Press) with the registration form and mail to:

Reservations:

All reservations requesting group rate to be made by individual call in to the Sheraton reservation line at 1-888-627-8104 (8:30 am to 6:30 pm, M-F). All reservation requests must be received by March 16, 2000, and must be guaranteed by credit card.  Reservations must be cancelled 72 hours prior to arrival, after which deposits will be non-refundable, and/or credit card will be charged with the first nights room and tax.  Please call the hotel directly to cancel or change a reservation.  There will be an early departure fee equivalent to 50% of the last night's room and tax.

Check-In/Check-Out:

Check-in time begins at 3:00 pm and check-out is 12 noon.  Attendees arriving before check-in time will be accommodated as rooms become available.  Luggage storage can be provided.

GETTING THERE & AWAY

Atlantas Hartsfield Airport is a Delta hub.  Air Tran offers low-cost fares from certain cities, and most major carriers fly to Atlanta.
Ground Transportation from Atlanta Hartsfield Airport:  The Atlanta Airport Shuttle Service offers round trip shuttle service from the airport to city hotels.  The cost is $18.00 round trip or $10.00 one way.  Tickets may be purchased in the airport near baggage claim; return tickets can be purchased at the Sheraton concierge desk.  If you decide to take a taxi from the airport, the typical fare with tip to the Sheraton Midtown is around $25.00; there will be an extra charges assessed for each passenger and for luggage.

Rapid Shuttle Service from the Airport: Take MARTA North to the Arts Center station.  Exit towards Peachtree St.; walk south (away from the Arts Center and the High Museum) on Peachtree St. to 15th St., where you should cross Peachtree and heads towards the Colony Square complex.  The exterior entrance to Sheraton Hotel is on the 14th St. side of the complex.  If you walk through Colony Square, the interior Sheraton entrance is one flight up from the mall level (there are elevators to the right of the staircase).  MARTA costs $1.50 one way (Prices may go up by April 2000).
